# Track Settlement

> What happens when a Reiy intent fills, expires, cancels, or remains in progress.

# Track Settlement

Once <Tooltip tip="The off-chain coordinator that runs solver competition and signs certificates; it holds no funds.">Fisherman</Tooltip> selects a winning solver and issues a <Tooltip tip="The signed authorization that lets the winning solver settle on-chain.">certificate</Tooltip> for your intent, settlement happens automatically. You do not need to stay online.

## Successful settlement

When settlement succeeds:

* Your buy token arrives in your wallet.
* Fees are deducted from the trade payout.
* The transaction is recorded on Sui.

## If the intent does not fill

Settlement may not happen if the deadline passes, the market moves too much, no solver can meet your minimum, or the winning certificate expires before settlement. In those cases, your sell token remains protected in protocol escrow until cancellation or a later valid settlement path.

## Partial fills

If you enabled partial fills, a solver may fill part of your trade in one batch and leave the remaining balance active for a later batch.

## Common outcomes

| Outcome | What it means |
| - | - |
| Settled | You received the buy token. |
| Cancelled | You reclaimed the sell token before execution. |
| Expired | The deadline passed and funds are safe to reclaim. |
| In progress | The intent is still waiting for a valid solver outcome. |
